TENANT UPDATE, 30th March 2020

Dear Tenants,

Today's update is to let you know what we've seen in the market over the last week and how we are continuing to strive to provide quality service during this time.

What happened last week
Last week the Belgian National Security Council (CNS) decided to extend the coronavirus containment measures by two weeks until the 19th April, with the health minister Maggie De Block saying the epidemic could ’stay in the country’ for at least the next eight weeks.

As a result, our BBF offices located in NATO, City, Evere and Schuman will remain temporarily closed, but BBF staff members are still available via phone and email to answer any enquiries that you may have.
In the last week we have also conducted our first 'remote delivery method' of fresh linen to our serviced apartments, ensuring that you still receive services even during these more difficult times of social distancing.  We thank all tenants who were involved in the process and worked with our cleaning team to swap over the linen.

What is happening this week
Helping to make payments for rent online.  As our office locations are currently closed we endeavour to make online payments as simple and easy as possible for you.

Easy bank transfers
The easiest way to make a payment is using bank transfer, our bank account number is BE74 7310 4508 8807 as can be found on your rent invoice each month.  When making your bank transfer, always ensure that you use the reference on your invoice, the invoice number, apartment number or your contract number so we know the payment is yours.
Online payments with My.BBF.be
If you are not able to do a bank transfer, the next easiest way to pay is using our online portal.  If you login to My.BBF.be with your credentials, you will be able to pay directly with your maestro card or other cards listed as accepted on the site.

We're taking requests for next week's linen changes. This week, we will be sending out another email asking you to complete the linen request form to receive linen changes in your apartment for the week commencing the 6th April.  Please ensure that you complete this form when you see the email arrive in your mailbox.

We are continuing to provide emergency technical assistance to your apartment.  When things go wrong, it doesn't matter if there is a pandemic or not, you need to have the problem sorted.  That is why our technical team has continued to work tirelessly to ensure that you and your apartment is looked after during these times.

Staying Connected.  As a team here at BBF we are staying connected with each other using video calls during this time apart.  If you are working remotely in your apartment, make sure that you regularly call friends and family to stay connected with others.  It's important, there is a difference between social distancing and social isolation!

If you are struggling during this time, please make sure that you reach out, there are services available in Belgium to assist.  Also kill boredom by connecting with BBF on Facebook to learn about exciting ways to keep yourself entertained in your apartment, like recipes for making Belgian waffles!

Warm Regards,

The BBF Team

Due to the recent measures taken by the Belgian government we will unfortunately be forced to suspend all cleanings as of tomorrow until the 5th of April.

All planned cleanings will be replaced by an in-depth cleaning once everything returns to normal.

This measure is taken to protect the tenants and the cleaning personnel from the ongoing spread of the Covid-19 virus. In these times, health and safety are key.

TENANT UPDATE 16th March, 2020

Dear tenant,

Your health and safety are our top priority and we thank you for your support and cooperation during this time.

In light of recent developments with respect to COVID-19 and updated advice from a number of governments, our cleaning partners are implementing additional precautionary measures to ensure you feel safe in the comfort of your BBF apartment.

These measures include:
Primarily disinfecting the areas most touched by people (doorknobs, toilets, chairs, etc.) with specialized products. This also counts for the common area’s (buttons outside/inside the elevators, metal bars).

In addition to washing and disinfecting their hands, the cleaning staff are wearing gloves.
For your own health and safety, we would like to ask you to clean up all your personal belongings so that the cleaning staff doesn’t have to move it around unnecessarily. Please therefore also remove the following items in your apartment on a regular basis:
Any food leftovers
Dirty dishes in the kitchen
Used tissues or handkerchiefs in the apartment
Rubbish bins

As part of your rent cleaning is an included service, but if you still feel uncomfortable despite the additional measures and you do not wish to receive your normal cleaning services during the coming two weeks, please notify your service advisor.

Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe!

Kind regards,

The BBF Team

TENANT UPDATE 11th March, 2020

Dear Tenants,

As many of you are aware, the coronavirus (Covid-19) has been front of mind over the last few weeks, the news reporting daily on the increasing number of cases of the virus and the impact it is having on countries all over the world.

At BBF, it is our priority to ensure that our staff and tenants are taking necessary steps to stay safe and healthy during this time.

Therefore, we would like to inform you about some general precautions that we at BBF are taking and that you can take yourself as well.

- Wash your hands frequently with water and soap. If water or soap are not available, please use alcohol gel (needs to contain at least 70% alcohol to be efficient)

- If you have to sneeze or cough, do so in a paper handkerchief (which is then thrown away) or in your elbow fold

- Try to limit kisses and handshakes as greetings

- Help each other, remind your colleagues, friends and family of these precautions if they don't follow them

- Stay at home in the comfort of your BBF apartment when you are feeling sick

The Belgian government advises that if you feel sick to call a General Practitioner, please find herewith a list of General Practitioners in Brussels. If you are feeling ill and unable to leave your apartment, please let us know if your BBF Service Team can be of any assistance.

We would like to inform you that in the meantime we continue to closely monitor international developments so that we can continue to act proactively.

Kind regards,

The BBF Team
